Cookie policy

We use exactly one cookie, and only when you are signed in to the dashboard. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting. This page exists so you can verify that claim against the actual cookie your browser receives.

The session cookie

• Name: session
• Value: an opaque random identifier (256 bits) that points to a server-side session row. The cookie itself carries no personal data and no claims; everything is looked up on our side.
• Purpose: keeps you signed in after login so you don't have to re-enter your password on every page. Required to use the dashboard.
• Lifetime: up to 30 days (absolute cap); also expires after 7 days of inactivity, or immediately when you sign out.

What we don't use

• Tracking cookies for advertising or remarketing.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.).
• Third-party cookies of any kind. No social embeds, no chat widgets.
• Device fingerprinting or other cookieless tracking.

Because the session cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested (signing in), under GDPR / ePrivacy no consent banner is required. We don't show one.

How to remove it

Sign out from the dashboard, or clear cookies for chord.run in your browser settings. The next time you visit, you'll just be a signed-out visitor.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce another cookie, we'll update this page and announce it on the homepage at least 30 days before it takes effect.
